Just read the other day that the Milwaukee Brewers are going to erect a statue of this guy…
…outside of Miller Park in the near future. At first I thought maybe the article was a joke, but no such luck. What next…statues of Pete Rose, Barry Bonds, and the Canseco-McGwire bathroom stall?

I think the only reason he getting that statute is he saved the team when it’s last owner wanted to finally get out of the baseball biz. And didn’t his daughter run that franchise until they sold it?
Maybe that was a provision of the sale to make Selig immortal since his legacy as MLB Commissioner might not do the trick.
I guess it could have been worse…..Could of had that photo of him debating call Game 5 of the 2008 World Series with his hands in the air and a look of bewilderment on his face………but then again…….that is his legacy.
